Virtually Worship

Note for all Beaker Folk: tomorrow we're going back to real-life, face-to-face Pouring out of Beakers.

Thought yesterday's "virtual" worship, where one poor schmuck poured out Beakers while everyone else stayed in the comfort of their rooms and listened in on "Radio Husborne Crawley", was very successful. But I was aware that the flow of - for want of a better word - liturgy was all one way.

So today we tried video conferencing via Beaker People's laptops. I even turned the electricity on to help.

The concept of "video conferencing" was clearly lost on Barwig, who joined in via his smartphone. From the bath. And forgot which side of his HTC the camera is.

So as I say we're all back to normal tomorrow. But we will be offering counselling today, at least till lunchtime and possibly longer.

  1. What I want to know is the effect of the Euro decision on the Husborne Crawley groat?

Will there be a beaker tax?

  2. The Husborne Crawley groat is still worth 4 Beaker Beads, 17 Bedford "Eagles" or 12 of the Milton Keynes "Point". It's a relatively small monetary union, but we like to think that's why it works.
