Sinful People come to Sticky Ends - Day 5

It has been, brothers and sisters, a most strange last day of the Holiday Club.

Imagine our consternation this morning at 9am when we realised that the chapel was as empty as the camp of Sennacherib's Assyrians! Not that there were dead bodies all over the place - merely that there were no children attending at all.

Needless to say, I suspected that Eileen had lured the children across to her heathen "Moot House" with wicked schemes and sugary snacks. But as I headed across to the Beaker Folk to expostulate, I heard the sound of laughter and singing from Great Meadow.

It was the children from both the Bogwulf Baptist and Beaker Folk holiday clubs, gathered around little Lucia as she taught them the principles of metrical psalms. She then went on to give a remarkably thorough - if a little Arminian - exposition of Luther's preface to his commentary on Romans.

There is a moral to be had here. But I have no idea what it is.
