Daily Mail Readers Win Ignoble Prats Prize

Tom Pride brings to our attention the vile comments in the Mail about Malala receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.

Obviously it's bad news for Richard Dawkins, as I expect the number of Muslims with the Peace Prize is catching up on Trinity College, Cambridge now.

But Malala is an inspiration, and I'm proud to live in the country that gave her treatment and a place to stay.

I'm not so proud of some of my compatriots, though, having read the top-rated comments. Maybe somebody needs to work for education in this country.

  1. Hear, hear. A good number of her compatriots have been less than welcoming about the news too. Education doesn't seem to be doing such a good job all over where tolerance and acceptance is concerned. :(
