I was confused. Why have Liverpool sacked Brendan Rodgers, after a perfectly respectable result? A draw away at Everton - nothing wrong with that.And then I started musing. Why now? Why sack him now? Who is suddenly available?

I hear that Sep Blatter might be available soon. Controversial perhaps, but he will probably work for a token sum, glad to have any job. But sacking him will be an issue......
