The Church Innovation Cycle

Much is made of the Pastoral Cycle, and Kreb's Cycle. But all things in life, it seems, come in cycles.

And church innovation is one such. All things in the life of the church must eventually go round this cycle. It may have an orbit of 20 minutes, or a thousand years. But round the cycle will go in the end.

  1. hm... this misses out the bit where members of the congregation say 'This new thing isn't acceptable. I'll nag the vicar and make rude remarks about his wife and family, not because I think it will change anything, but just because.' Also, 'I'll ignore the increasing amount of new worshippers at our more family-friendly extra service, because they don't count.'

    Cynical? Moi?

  2. Twelve voices were shouting in anger, and they were all alike. No question, now, what had happened to the faces of the pigs. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
