Can all Beaker Folk please note that we are aware that the sunrise tomorrow morning is very early. However God in their wisdom decided that the earth is on a slant and Husborne Crawley is quite high up, so that's how it is.
For those Beaker people unable to get up for the sunrise, please note it will be available to download shortly afterwards so you can watch it from the comfort of your own rooms.
I noticed the early sunrise, I was awake and alert at the requisite time. Sadly, I had misplaced my spectacles and all I could see was a blob in the early morning haze that besets me without spectacles. And twitter was alive with Solstice messages, many from Clergy, making a Pagan event? The BBC Weather person also remarked on the Solstice, while delivering misery for the North of Scotland, who would have to put up with 19 hours of daylight on the Solstice. Everyone on Orkney will be marking the event with an appropriate brand of Scotch Whisky, ever chance to have a "wee dram" being taken. Happy Solstice to the Beker Folk.
