Archdruid: Life goes on day after day.
All: And then it doesn't.
Archdruid: But at the end of the storm there's a golden sky.
All: And the sweet, silver song of a lark.
Archdruid: You'll never walk alone.

Now, are these the exact words that Gerry sang? They're what I thought they were and what you find when you Google "You'll never walk alone lyrics", but the original 5th line is "At the end of the storm is a golden sky", as discovered when wanted to use the lyrics in one of my books, and getting it right was a condition of doing so (along with paying a fee) from the copyright holder.
ReplyDeleteI recall seeing him perform with his group at an open air concert in Plymouth about 1969, he was a great act live. RIP Gerry.
