They felt a bit left out. So they demanded their own set. So what are you to do? Stick to my firm principle, that's what - always allow democracy to rule on things that don't really matter (I stole the idea from the European Union, if truth be told). And Catriona's right, we're dead good at remembering doctors and nurses (and, I would add, missionaries, clergy and teachers) - but we forget the others. Here, therefore, are the special Beaker Sundays for the next year. You can feel free to use them if you like.

* Hunstanton, for those that don't know.
Isn't January 30th, U2 Sunday?
ReplyDeleteNah, although there is an argument for transferring it to New Year's Day.
ReplyDelete30th January is the Nativity of Josef Greindl, however.
I note no bloggers sunday. As we are the new media (which frightens all in broadcast and print media) we need a sunday of our own.
ReplyDeleteI loved 'Kettering Sunday', although should you not have written 'Ketrin' to avoid confusion? I think also there is an argument that it should properly be 'Desborough Sunday'
ReplyDeleteRevd Lesley, I avoided writing Kettrin in case anyone confused me with somebody from Wellinbru'
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I think that is quite enough of that - I now have memories flooding in of such places, along with a pub crawl in Wellin'bru that is best forgotten!
ReplyDeleteDear Archdruid
ReplyDeleteHere at the Quivering Brethren we do not observe the times or seasons. All Sundays are Fear and Trembling Sunday.
Yours awefully
J Starkadder (Mrs)
