News from Stony

Young Keith has come back from Stony, and as our friend Rich predicted he's come back with some wild stories.

For the sake of tradition he nipped in for lunch at the Cock. And in there, all the talk was of  Elliot Morley pleading guilty to the charge of dishonestly claiming expenses.

After then going on a beer-supping tour of the neighbourhood, which he hazily described as "The Navigation at Cosgrove. Nice pub. Nice canal. Fell in. Can we go back and get my bike?", he wound up drying off in the Bull Vaults. And it was just like they say.  The story had totally changed between the Cock and the Bull. Instead of Eilliot Morley, it was Laurent Gbagbo. And instead of the Labour Party, it was Ivory Coast. And mysteriously, getting down for expense fraud became "getting rooted out of office by the French Army"

Isn't it incredbile, the way the same story can mutate with each re-telling?
