I'm sure that you, like me, love this special day, when people put up the "joke" stories on their websites and in the newspapers.
The Telegraph goes with this joke that we're all earning less than we were, due to a recession. Ridiculous! I'm rolling in it.
The Sun has the clearly bogus claim that Ashley Young is worth £25 million. Even a child could see through that one.
The Mail goes with the ridiculous story that the Libyan foreign Minister has sought asylum in the UK. Clearly a spoof - as otherwise why would they have used and old stock photo of Kevin Keegan for the article?
And hilariously, the BBC goes with "Fierce battle in Ivory Coast City". This is clearly pulling our legs. How can there be any kind of fighting going on in Ivory Coast? It's the first I've heard of it! We've just been hearing about Libya, Japan and the missing cobra that went on Twitter. And if there were really fighting in Ivory Coast, that would surely have been above the cobra in the news lately.
