A great day for liberty

Three commemorations today...
Cromwell becomes Lord Protector (1653)
Bill of Rights (1689)
Boston Tea Party (1773).
Now Boston Tea Party - well done those British subjects who rebelled against a German king, we say.  And we'd never be the ones to celebrate Cromwell.  The Civil War and Commonwealth was basically one fairly obnoxious bloke who thought he had a divine right to rule replaced by a murderous lunatic who knew he had a divine right to rule.  But it did at least make the point that anybody who things everybody has to do what they say, might have to think again.  Gordon.
So the Beaker Folk have spent the afternoon celebrating their absolute right to do whatever they want.  As long as I approve.
