Young Keith's uncle the police constable is very sorry. It was entirely a mis-reading of the situation.
When he confronted that shadowy figure in the grounds, he meant to fire a taser gun. He now realises that a laser gun is another matter entirely. He's off to get some new glasses in the morning.

ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that a Police Officer who can make such an elementary mistake is ripe for the cuts which appear to loom for the police forces country wide.
ReplyDeleteThe alternative would be promotion to some job where he could do least damage, perhaps Chief Constable, or some other irrelevant job.
