Holger, I'm afraid the Archdruid is still having a lay down. She showed enough energy this morning to raise her question - little more than a tweet, in my opinion - before remembering that badger skin and going off to feel a bit ill again. I did ask her your question, but she kicked me in the shins at the suggestion she was remotely near to retirement age. She also quoted me an ancient Beaker proverb which she said I could share with you: "As long as there's still sheep, we'll never be short of something to fleece". I have no idea what this means.
Because it is run by retired people?
ReplyDeleteDeists would say that God sort of retired after creation, so...
ReplyDeleteDeath of God theologians would say that, well, maybe God is not dead, he is just, well...
Etc. Too tired to think of more reasons.
Incidentally, is there something to that rumour that you would be retiring from your position as Archdruid, Mother Eileen?
