Top Ten Most Humble Christians on Social Media

Obviously, this is a subjective list. There is no official grading system for humility. It's not like "page views" or "followers".

But it's important we know. After all, if the first are last (and vice versa) then the most humble are the most important. So who are the ten most humble Christians on Social Media?

Burton has worked out some algorithms for me, and I've come up with the following:

1. Archdruid Eileen
2. Noah's Apprentice
3. Revpamsmith
3.Eddie Arthur
4. Batty_Towers
5. Andy
6. Simon Robinson
7. Bertie Wooster
8. CS Lewis
9. Gurdur
10. Phil Ritchie

Obviously, it's subjective. And one of these people is dead. And one doesn't identify as a Christian. Or, indeed, appear to fit any of the criteria.  And some are imaginary. If you think you're actually one of the ten most humble Christians on Social Media, please let me know and I'll add you to the list. On the other hand, if you don't think you ought to be on the list, let me know and I'll move you up the list.

  1. Phew! Glad to see I wasn't one of them. I'd never live it up...

  2. My God! Do you mean to say revpamsmith and Drayton Parslow are one and the same person? I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked!! Have I been labouring under a dis..illus - well, whatever one's supposed to labour under all these years? Neither of them should be allowed anywhere within one hundred miles of this list IMHO. ;)

    1. All I'm saying is, you never see them in the same room at the same time...

  3. I don't see @LayAnglicana on here. Laura Sykes is famous and very humble. She deserves a mention.

    2. Umm...It was Uriah Heep, wasn't it, who claimed to be 'ever so 'umble'. I have never liked Uriah Heep and would make no such claim for myself.

    3. I'm now trying to work out if people recommending other humble people are cleverly making themselves look humble...

    4. Of course not, heaven forfend! Say I recommend UKviewer or Undercover Nun, the act of so doing is in fact, indicates that the sin of Pride is alive and kicking in the Greenpatch innards, surely the furthest from a state of humility as is possible to be. How could I ever hope to approach that exalted state? I Am Not Worthy...

Hang on a mo?? I think I'm getting into a bit of a tangle here...

  5. I'm just debating whether it is more humble to ask to be taken off the list as unworthy, or reluctantly to accept the judgement of those who are, by definition, wiser than I am.

  6. No mention for Under Cover Nun? How humble do you need?

  11. You've introduced me to two I've never heard of, so by definition they might be quite quiet if not humble. Really enjoyed this post as an antidote to all those "Top Christian Blogger" lists. Thank you.

  14. How fantastic a list. Now I'm wondering if the algorithm needs amending too reflect the ego boost that being on the list might have given. Thanks for brightening my day by seeing such lovely people on a List.
